A record-keeping aid, not a compliance decision

WingSteward helps owners, pilots and maintenance shops keep track of flights, costs, maintenance and what is coming due. It does not decide whether an aircraft is airworthy, whether a maintenance item, airworthiness directive or service bulletin applies to it, or whether any rule has been met. Due dates, hours, projections and alerts are calculated from what people enter and are only as good as that information.

Your responsibility

The owner or operator, and the certificated mechanic or repair station doing the work, remain responsible for the aircraft’s airworthiness, its official maintenance records and its compliance with the regulations. Always confirm due items and intervals with the aircraft’s approved maintenance program, the manufacturer and your mechanic. A sign-off in WingSteward is a note of who reviewed something; it is not a certification or a logbook entry.

Alerts and email

Reminder emails are a convenience and may be delayed, filtered or not sent. Do not rely on them as the only way you keep track of what is due.

Your data

What you enter, including receipts and imported spreadsheets, belongs to you and the organization that entered it. People can see only the aircraft and records their role gives them access to. Keep your own copies of anything you must retain; the hours and cycles export is there for that.
